Stronger Community. Stronger Homes.
A message to my neighbors:
Welcome!
My name is Tatyana, and my story is one of resilience. Growing up under the Soviet regime, I witnessed firsthand the Totalitarian control, suppression of individual rights and the silencing of voices. It was a time that shaped my deepest values: Freedom, Fairness and Justice.
Coming to America in 1991 as a refugee, I was given more than just shelter. What used to be distant dream was now a fundamental freedom. In this Nation an equal Voice, a free Election and an open Vote is a protected universal right for all.
Fast forward to February 2024, and that very foundation on which our community is built, felt threatened. The familiarity and indifference of this threat shook me to my core and ignited a fire. This is a call to action.
Our community is not a Gulag. Our Association should be built on the pillars of Democracy, fairness, openness and respect. Our Master Deed and By-Laws are our 'Constitution', and just like our Nation, we have the right to free speech, transparency and accountability from our Government - the Board of Directors. Our Board has a duty to comply and uphold our governing documents and statues of the Law. These are not abstract concepts – they are the very truths that shape our homes, our lives and our future.
I urge you to exercise your rights and join me because when we are stronger our homes are stronger too. Be informed, be active, engage in civil discourse, but most importantly, raise your voices! Empowered collective action cannot be overcome by silence, indifference and fear of intimidation.
This is not just a call to hold free and fair elections; it is a call to unite. 'Let us rise up and build' a community that is based on Democracy, respect, and shared success. The power lies within us – all of us. Together.
